Incheon Airport to Seoul
Incheon Airport to Seoul: AREX from 4,750 won, the limousine bus at 17,000 won, the taxi meter, or a private car from US$85 (October 2026).
From Incheon Airport to Seoul you have four choices: the AREX airport train (4,750 won to Seoul Station from Terminal 1), a limousine bus (17,000 won), a metered taxi, or a private car booked ahead, such as GUIVING’s private transfer from US$96 for up to four. The train is cheapest; the car is the only one that meets you at the gate and stops at your hotel door. Fares were checked with AREX, Airport Limousine and the airport in October 2026.

What is the cheapest way to get from Incheon Airport to Seoul?
The all-stop AREX train, paid with a T-money or other transit card. AREX’s own fare table, checked in October 2026:
| All-stop train, by card | Seoul Station | Hongik Univ. (Hongdae) | Gimpo Airport |
|---|---|---|---|
| From Terminal 1 | 4,750 won | 4,650 won | 4,350 won |
| From Terminal 2 | 5,350 won | 5,250 won | 4,950 won |
A single-use card costs 100 won more, plus a 500 won deposit you get back at your destination station. The catch is the last stretch: the train stops at stations, not hotels, so with suitcases you change to the subway or take a taxi from the station.
What is the fastest way?
To Seoul Station, the AREX Express: a non-stop train with reserved seats and its own fare, listed on airportrailroad.com. Door to door, a taxi or a private car, about one to two hours by road depending on traffic; GUIVING lists its private transfer at about 1.5 hours. The car is faster in practice when the train would leave you two subway changes from the hotel.
Is there a bus from Incheon Airport to Seoul?
Yes. Airport limousine buses run to districts across the city for 17,000 won a person (Airport Limousine, October 2026), and the luggage rides underneath. Route 6001, for example, calls at Dongdaemun, Myeongdong, Seoul Station and Sinyongsan. At Terminal 1 the ticket booths are inside the terminal next to exits 4 and 9, with more outside near exits 4, 6, 7, 8, 11 and 13, according to the airport.
How much is a taxi from Incheon Airport to Seoul?
The airport publishes the meter rules, not a total. A Seoul taxi starts at 4,800 won, a deluxe or jumbo taxi at 7,000 won, and the expressway tolls come on top. From 22:00 to 04:00 a standard taxi adds a night surcharge: 20% until 23:00, 40% from 23:00 to 02:00 and 20% again until 04:00. Standard Seoul taxis wait at 5C, 6C and 6D at Terminal 1, and at the signposted Seoul taxi stand on the Terminal 2 arrivals level. International and smart taxis charge a flat fare to Seoul.
Are airport transfers cheaper than taxis?
For one or two people in the daytime, often not: the meter is likely to come in under a booked car. The booked car wins at night, when the meter rises by up to 40%, and for groups, where one fixed price with tolls is split four or seven ways. MOVV’s transfer for up to seven works out at about US$12 each when full.
