How a Seoul Airport Transfer Works
Book the car, not the seats: one price covers your group, and the driver comes to the arrival gate or your hotel lobby.
Book the Car, Not the Seats
The price is for the whole car and up to four people, so two pay the same as four. Give the flight number and your hotel address when you book; it can be reserved now and paid later, and cancelled free up to 24 hours before.
Meet the Driver at Arrivals
After immigration and baggage, the driver waits in front of your arrival gate holding a sign with your name. The listing allows up to 90 minutes after landing for queues and bags before extra waiting is charged.
Load Up and Go
The driver takes the bags to an air-conditioned car or van. Fuel, tolls and parking are in the price, so nothing is paid on the way; the road into central Seoul takes about one to two hours, depending on traffic.
Dropped at Your Door
You are dropped at your hotel or address in Seoul. For the flight home, the same transfer runs the other way, from your hotel lobby to the departures terminal, with 30 minutes of waiting at the hotel.

The Guide
From Incheon Airport to Your Seoul Hotel, and What a Private Car Adds
The train is cheap and the limousine bus stops near many hotels. A private car meets you at the gate and takes you to the door. Here is when each makes sense, and what it costs per head.
A Seoul airport transfer is a private car or van booked before you fly: the driver meets you at the Incheon arrival gate with your name on a sign, loads the bags and drives you to your hotel door, for one price per car with tolls included. The most reviewed on GetYourGuide is GUIVING’s Private Transfer To/From Incheon Airport, from US$96 for a car of up to four (checked October 2026): about US$24 each when four share it. It is rated 4.8 out of 5 from 1,300 reviews. On 24 October 2026 GetYourGuide showed this tour booked 5 times the day before.

The listing allows up to 90 minutes after your flight lands before waiting is charged, which covers the immigration queue and the baggage belt, and 30 minutes at the hotel for the ride back. Fuel, tolls and parking are in the price; a child car seat is available on request for an extra fee. The drivers speak English, Indonesian or Korean. October’s reviews are mostly about the meeting itself: one traveller wrote that the driver “texted photos of himself and his sign, and clear instructions for meeting”, another that he “picked us up although there was a huge influx at the customs”.
Train, bus, taxi or private car?
There are four ways from Incheon Airport into Seoul, and the cheapest is very cheap. The won fares below are the operators’ own, checked in October 2026; the transfer prices are GetYourGuide’s for the whole car.
| Way in | Price | To your door? | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| AREX all-stop train | 4,750 won from Terminal 1, 5,350 won from Terminal 2, to Seoul Station by transit card | No | One or two people with light bags, a hotel near a station |
| AREX Express | Reserved seat; fare on airportrailroad.com | No, Seoul Station only | The fastest ride to Seoul Station |
| Limousine bus | 17,000 won a person | Stops near many hotels | Big bags under the bus, a stop by the hotel |
| Taxi | Meter from 4,800 won plus tolls; night surcharge 22:00 to 04:00 | Yes | No booking, a short queue at the rank |
| Private transfer, up to 4 | US$96 per car, tolls included | Yes, met at the arrival gate | Families, late flights, lots of luggage |
| Private transfer, up to 7 | US$85 per car, tolls included | Yes | Groups of five to seven |

For one or two travellers with a backpack, the all-stop train is the honest answer: about 5,000 won to Seoul Station, Hongik University (for Hongdae) or Gimpo Airport. What it does not do is cross the city to your hotel. You change to the subway with your suitcases, and the last trains run around midnight. A private car earns its price when the group grows, the bags are heavy, the children are tired or the flight lands late. Four people in GUIVING’s car pay about US$24 each, seven in MOVV’s car about US$12 each, and nobody carries a suitcase up a subway staircase.

What the price includes, and what costs extra
GUIVING’s price covers a one-way private transfer in an air-conditioned car or van, a licensed driver, the meeting at the arrival gate or the hotel lobby, the free waiting time, and fuel, tolls and parking. Waiting beyond the free time, a child car seat, and food and drinks cost extra. MOVV’s transfer for up to seven is driver only, with no guide, and its listing says waiting becomes overtime after 30 minutes and that some drop-off areas cost more. The 12-seat van includes all fees and taxes and lists room for sixteen suitcases of 18 to 28 inches. All three cancel free up to 24 hours before, and all three can be reserved now and paid later.
The terminals, the arrival gate and the drive
Incheon has two terminals, and the airport train calls at both; the fares above show Terminal 2 is the farther one. A private driver waits in front of your arrival gate, so check which terminal your airline uses and put the flight number in the booking, which lets the pickup follow the real landing time. By road, central Seoul is about one to two hours away, depending on traffic.

What Travellers Say About the Transfer
"The driver was on time, and the transfer went smoothly."
"Everything went smoothly. As indicated, the driver was waiting at the airport with a name sign, took our luggage from us and led us to the vehicle. We received information about the driver's name and the license plate in advance. The license plate didn't match, but something can always come up. It doesn't change anything about the service. The drive was sometimes quite fast and bumpy, but after a few days in Seoul, this style of driving is probably the norm here. Everyone drives like that here. The driver could only drop us off at the address provided because the hotel could not be found. However, the driver first drove an extra lap around the block and also asked about the hotel in local shops. But that's irrelevant here; it will only be reflected in the hotel's rating."
"Aiden Lee texted photos of himself and his sign, and clear instructions for meeting, then was friendly and helpful with luggage and informative during the ride. We really appreciated being well cared for."
"The driver was there upon arrival, earlier than agreed"
"Excellent service. Punctual, polite and smooth transfer. Would definitely use again"
"Driver picked us up although there was a huge influx at the customs. The drive to hotel was a breeze."
"Airport pick up was good once we determined that we were not at the right location. Driver waited patiently and delivered us to front door of hotel efficiently. Great service."

Seoul Airport Transfer FAQ
The questions people ask before booking a transfer from Incheon or Gimpo, answered in the first sentence.
From US$96 for a car of up to four with GUIVING's private Incheon transfer, rated 4.8 from 1,300 reviews, to US$174 for a 12-seat van; MOVV's private transfer is US$85 for up to seven (GetYourGuide, October 2026). Each price is for the whole car or van and includes fuel, tolls and parking, so a full car of four pays about US$24 each. The prices guide works out the cost per person for every group size.
The AREX all-stop train: 4,750 won from Terminal 1 to Seoul Station, or 5,350 won from Terminal 2, with a T-money or other transit card (AREX, checked October 2026). A single-use card costs 100 won more, plus a 500 won deposit you get back at the end. The limousine bus is 17,000 won a person. A private car only beats them per head for a full group: about US$12 each for seven on MOVV's 7-seat transfer. Incheon Airport to Seoul compares all four ways in.
To Seoul Station, the AREX Express, a non-stop train with reserved seats; door to door, a taxi or a private car, about one to two hours by road depending on traffic. The train still leaves you to cross the city with your bags, while GUIVING's private transfer drives from the arrival gate to your hotel. The Express fare is on AREX's own site, airportrailroad.com.
A Seoul taxi runs on the meter from a 4,800 won base fare (7,000 won for a deluxe or jumbo taxi), plus the expressway tolls, so the total depends on where you are going and on traffic (Incheon Airport, October 2026). From 22:00 to 04:00 a night surcharge applies: 20% from 22:00, 40% from 23:00 to 02:00 and 20% again until 04:00 for a standard taxi. International and smart taxis charge a flat fare to Seoul. A booked transfer has a fixed price instead, such as US$96 for GUIVING's private car for up to four, tolls included.
Uber and Korean taxi apps can call a taxi to the airport, and the ride is an ordinary metered taxi: the same base fare, tolls and night surcharge apply. Taxi stands are outside the arrivals hall, at 5C, 6C and 6D for standard Seoul taxis at Terminal 1, and at the signposted Seoul taxi stand on the Terminal 2 arrivals level, according to the airport. For a car that waits for you at the gate, book a private transfer in advance.
Not for the all-stop train: tap a T-money or other transit card at the gate, or buy a single-use card at the station. The Express has reserved seats and its own fare, sold at the airport and on airportrailroad.com. Neither goes to your hotel, so with heavy bags or a late flight a private transfer is the simpler way in.
Yes: the airport limousine buses run to districts across Seoul for 17,000 won a person (Airport Limousine, October 2026); route 6001, for example, calls at Dongdaemun, Myeongdong, Seoul Station and Sinyongsan. At Terminal 1 the ticket booths are inside the terminal next to exits 4 and 9, and the airport lists separate late-night buses. Incheon Airport to Myeongdong covers the bus, the train and the car.
About an hour by the all-stop airport train to Seoul Station (66 minutes from Terminal 2 on the airport's route map), and about one to two hours by road, depending on traffic. GUIVING lists its private transfer at about 1.5 hours.
Yes, within limits: GUIVING's private transfer waits up to 90 minutes after your flight lands, and charges for waiting beyond that. MOVV waits up to an hour after the pickup time, and the 12-seat van allows 1 hour 30 minutes after the flight. Give the flight number when you book, so the pickup follows the real landing time.
It depends on the vehicle you book: MOVV allows seven bags with seven people, and the 12-seat van takes up to twelve travellers and twelve large suitcases. GUIVING asks large groups to confirm luggage space before booking. A suitcase bigger than 28 inches counts as two on Visit Korea Tour's vans, and a stroller or wheelchair counts as one.
Usually on request: GUIVING supplies one at an extra fee, the 12-seat van company asks you to request it in advance, and MOVV's listing excludes a baby seat. Ask when you book GUIVING's private transfer, so the right seat is in the car at the gate.
Gimpo: it sits inside the city's western edge, on the AREX line and subway lines 5 and 9, while Incheon is the larger international airport farther west. Gimpo mainly handles domestic and short-haul flights. HavenTrip's Gimpo transfer runs between Gimpo and downtown hotels for up to three. Gimpo Airport transfer has the details.
By the airport train to Seoul Station and a KTX from there, by a domestic flight from Gimpo, or by road in a private van. Visit Korea Tour's private van runs from Seoul to anywhere in Korea, from US$98 for up to six; the price depends on the route, and Busan is one of the longest. Incheon Airport to Busan compares the three.
Yes for three or more people, heavy bags, small children or a late arrival: you are met at the gate, the price is fixed and tolls are included. For one or two travellers with light bags, the airport train at about 5,000 won each is far cheaper. GUIVING's private transfer is the most reviewed, rated 4.8 from 1,300 reviews.
